Rotate PDF

Rotate all or specific pages of a PDF by 90°, 180°, or 270°. Lossless — no re-encoding, no quality loss. Files never leave your browser.

Fix sideways and upside-down pages

Scanned documents often come in with the wrong orientation. This tool rotates pages without re-encoding them — it simply updates the rotation metadata in the PDF structure. Text stays selectable, images keep their quality, and the file size barely changes. All processing happens in your browser.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does rotation affect quality?
No. Rotation is a metadata change — the page content is not re-encoded or rasterized. Text stays selectable, images retain their original quality, and the file size stays nearly identical.
Can I rotate only specific pages?
Yes. Switch to "Custom pages" mode and enter the page numbers you want to rotate (e.g. "1, 3, 5-8"). Other pages will remain unchanged.
Can I undo a rotation?
The tool does not modify your original file. If you need to undo, simply re-upload the original and apply a different angle, or rotate the already-rotated file by the complementary angle (e.g. rotate 270° to undo a 90° rotation).
Are my files uploaded?
No. The rotation is performed entirely in your browser using pdf-lib. Your file is read locally, modified in memory, and the result is downloaded directly.
What does 90° clockwise mean?
A 90° clockwise rotation turns the page so that the top moves to the right side. 180° flips it upside down. 270° (or 90° counter-clockwise) turns the top to the left side.
